How do I register for the symposium?

Participants may apply by completing the form linked above following and sending it to hcias-symposium2023@uni-heidelberg.de. The scientific advisory committee will evaluate the submitted abstracts after the application period. Acceptance will be communicated by 17 July 2023.

Can I cancel my registration?

Yes, you may cancel your registration. We kindly ask you to inform us by sending an email to hcias-symposium2023@uni-heidelberg.de.

Will there be any fees?

There will be no registration fees, however, it is mandatory to register by filling out this form and sending it via email.

How can I find out when someone is scheduled to present?

The schedule will be communicated by email. 

How can I travel to Heidelberg?

Participants may travel to Heidelberg by plane, train, or bus. International airports are Frankfurt Airport and Stuttgart Airport. The Heidelberg Central Railway Station is close to the city center.

How do I get to the International Academic Forum Heidelberg (IWH)?

Numerous transportation options available to reach the venue:

Departing from Heidelberg Central Railway Station (Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof) heading towards Heidelberg-Altstadt:

• Suburban railroad lines S1, S2, and S5. Stop: Heidelberg-Altstadt. From there it is only a short 6-minute walk (500m).

Departing from Heidelberg Central Railway Station:

• Bus line 33 heading towards Köpfel – Stop: S-Bahnhof Altstadt. From there it is only a short 6-minute walk (500m).
• Bus line 34 heading towards Wilhelmsfeld – Stop: Hirschgasse. From there it is only a short 5-minute walk (400m).
